2011-2012 Handbook Correction

The date listed in the new policies handbook for the final concert is incorrect. The handbook that was given out last Sunday says the 2011-2012 season finale is May 5, when it is actually May 6.

Please make the appropriate changes in your handbook, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

Parent Meeting/Special Rehearsal Schedule – September 18th

The first rehearsal of the 2011-2012 season on September 18th has a special schedule due to a parent meeting.

Sinfonietta rehearsal – 5:30 to 6:30 pm

Parent meeting – 6:30 to 7:30 pm

Orchestra rehearsal – 7:30 to 8:30 pm

Neither group will have sectionals on September 18th. The regular rehearsal schedule will begin September 25th.

2011-2012 BSYO Rehearsal Schedule

Hello, musicians and parents, and welcome to what we know will be another great year of the BSYO! This year we are introducing the new titles for the two divisions of the BSYO, the Sinfonietta (previously known as the white group) and the Orchestra (previously known as the blue group). Below are this year’s rehearsal times for the Sinfonietta and the Orchestra, including holidays. Please mark these on your calendars! Concert and event dates are already listed under the concerts tab above.

Rehearsals are still on Sundays at Olympic College. This season’s first rehearsal is set for September 18th. (Update: September 18th has a special rehearsal schedule due to the parent’s meeting from 6:30 to 7:30. The Sinfonietta will rehearse from 5:30 to 6:30 and the Orchestra 7:30 to 8:30. Neither group will have sectionals.)

Sinfonietta:

Rehearsal – 5:30 to 7:00 pm

Sectionals – 7:00 to 8:00 pm

Orchestra:

Sectionals – 6:00 to 7:00 pm

Rehearsal – 7:00 to 8:30 pm

No rehearsal:

October 9 – Columbus Day

November 27 – Thanksgiving weekend

December 18 – Winter break

December 25 – Christmas

January 1 – New Year’s Day

January 15 – MLK, Jr. weekend

February 5 – Superbowl

February 19 – President’s Day weekend

April 8 – Easter
